This Year's General Theme

THE 15TH BLC carries the theme “The Role of Shipping Law as an Anchor in Strengthening Indonesia’s Economic Resilience and Development” to emphasize the significance of shipping law in supporting national economic resilience and development. As one of the world’s largest archipelagic nations, Indonesia depends heavily on shipping for trade and transportation, making a strong legal framework essential to ensure efficient operations. Shipping law governs key aspects such as contracts, safety standards, environmental concerns, and dispute resolution, providing the foundation for smooth operations and protection for all stakeholders. By strengthening shipping law, Indonesia can enhance its industry, and ultimately contribute to the country’s long-term economic resilience and development.

The tagline “Sailing Through Change, Steering the Future” represents the essence of THE 15TH BLC grand theme. This tagline reflects the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the shipping industry. Through this phrase, the importance of adaptive and responsive legal frameworks is highlighted in guiding the shipping sector through various challenges while ensuring Indonesia remains a key player in the global shipping industry and strengthens its economic resilience. Through this competition, we hope that aspiring professionals can contribute to shaping the future of Indonesia’s shipping industry and its strategic role in national development.
